The song itself takes its theme from Romans 12:1 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your true and proper worship."

I wrote this song while waiting to audition with Ben Hill and Travis Ball for the 2013 Commercial Showcase at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. 5 months later, we performed the song at the Commercial Showcase to close our set.
